Product Scope
YAPVO Automation provides user account and workspace management, Instagram comment-to-conversation automation, and YAPVO Drop content delivery. This policy describes actual current processing and does not make claims regarding unreleased future features.
Information YAPVO Processes
YAPVO connects to Instagram Professional Accounts through official Meta APIs. To provide its services, YAPVO processes specific data categories supported by the platform:
YAPVO minimizes retained event data and stores structured operational metadata rather than raw webhook payloads when safe metadata is sufficient.
- Account and Authentication: Email address, session tokens, and verification status used to create and secure user accounts.
- Workspace Configuration: Workspace membership, administrative roles, and platform settings.
- Instagram Connection Data: Instagram Professional Account identifiers, usernames, and OAuth access tokens received through official Meta APIs to manage authorized connections.
- Automation and Event Metadata: Automation rules, media target references, normalized comment and inbound direct message metadata, continuation state, and delivery receipts. Reply content used for automation processing may be temporarily stored. Captured reply text is redacted after 7 days of normal operation, while minimal technical records may remain for reliability and duplicate protection. This schedule applies to a live account and is not a deletion timeline.
- Operational Metrics: Aggregate workspace usage and workflow statistics displayed in creator dashboards.
- YAPVO Drop Content: Content and operational metadata used to create, manage, expire, revoke, and measure shared YAPVO Drop links.
Protection and Use
Access is restricted, credentials are stored server-side, and transport encryption is used for public endpoints.
YAPVO uses this information to operate accounts and workspaces, maintain supported integrations, provide product features, and execute authorized workflows such as comment trigger detection, public replies, initial direct messages, continuation replies, and YAPVO Drop content delivery.
Data Deletion
YAPVO supports two distinct operations, and they remove different things.
Deleting your YAPVO account: You can permanently delete your YAPVO account yourself, from the YAPVO app under Account → Settings → Delete Account, or in a browser at app.yapvo.com. Deleting your account requires your password and an explicit confirmation.
Account deletion removes your account and profile, your sign-in and account-security records, every active session, your workspace, your automations and their configuration, your Drops, the Instagram credential and connection state YAPVO stores, the Instagram comment and message records YAPVO processed for you, and the account-linked operational, support and audit identifiers held about your workspace. It runs as a single operation: if any part fails, nothing is deleted.
When account deletion commits, your account and its data are removed from YAPVO’s active systems at that moment. What remains in those systems is anonymous operational counters about system activity, containing no account, workspace or personal identifier. The 7-day redaction schedule described above governs normal day-to-day operation of a live account and is not a retention period for a deleted account.
Disaster-recovery backups are a separate matter. YAPVO keeps protected backups of its database so the service can be rebuilt after a failure, and a backup taken before your deletion still holds the data as it stood then. Those pre-existing copies are retained under a 30-day maximum retention policy, counted from the day each backup was made, and are scheduled for automatic removal before that limit. They are restricted to YAPVO’s service operator and are used only for recovery, never for normal product operation, analytics or marketing. This is not a period during which your active product data continues to exist after deletion.
A retained backup cannot quietly bring a deleted account back. YAPVO records when the most recent account deletion committed and holds that record outside the database that gets backed up, so a backup created before that point is not eligible for direct restoration into the live product.
Disconnecting Instagram: Disconnecting Instagram does not delete your YAPVO account. You may disconnect in YAPVO, or deauthorize YAPVO through your Meta or Instagram account settings. When a disconnect or a valid deauthorization callback is processed, YAPVO removes the locally stored Instagram credential, connection-state records, and the scoped webhook delivery and messaging evidence for that connection. Your YAPVO account, automations and Drops remain.
