Delete your YAPVO account and its data
This permanently deletes your YAPVO account and the data connected to it. It cannot be undone, and it is not the same as disconnecting Instagram.
In the YAPVO app: Account → Settings → Delete Account.
In your browser: You do not need to install the app. Open the deletion page in YAPVO, sign in if you are asked, and confirm.
If you are signed out, YAPVO asks you to sign in first and then returns you to the deletion page.
When deletion completes, your account and its data are removed from YAPVO’s active systems. What stays there is a set of anonymous operational counters about system activity, such as whether a delivery signature was valid and when the last event arrived. Those counters are not linked to your YAPVO account or workspace and contain no account or workspace identifier.
Separately from that, YAPVO takes protected recovery backups of its database so the service can be rebuilt if something fails. A backup made before you deleted your account still holds your data as it was at that moment. Those copies are retained under a 30-day maximum retention policy, counted from the day each backup was made, and are scheduled for automatic removal before that limit. Access to them is restricted to YAPVO’s service operator. They are used only to recover the service, and never for normal product operation, analytics or marketing.
A recovery backup cannot simply put a deleted account back. YAPVO records when the most recent account deletion happened, and keeps that record outside the database being backed up, so a backup made before that moment is not eligible to be restored into the live product.
Deleting your account yourself, using the options above, is the primary way to do it. If self-service cannot complete safely for your account, email support@yapvo.com and we will help. We verify that you own the account before deleting anything, so we may ask you to confirm details or prove access to the account's email address.
- Account and profile: Your YAPVO account, display name, avatar and the password credential used to sign in.
- Sign-in security records: Email verification and password reset records, two-step verification setup and recovery codes, and queued account email.
- Sessions on every device: Browser sessions and mobile app sessions are all invalidated, so nothing stays signed in anywhere.
- Workspace: Your workspace, its membership and its plan state are removed with the account.
- Instagram connection: The Instagram credential YAPVO stores, the connected account reference and the connection state.
- Automations: Your automations and their saved configuration, including keywords, reply variants and the posts they were attached to.
- Drops: Your Drops and the public links that serve them. Those links stop resolving.
- Instagram activity YAPVO processed: The comment and message records, continuation and follow-up state, and delivery evidence YAPVO held for your account.
- Account-linked operational and support records: Usage records, support cases opened about your workspace, and the account identifiers in YAPVO’s internal security and admin logs.
How deletion works
- Verify it is you: Sign in and re-enter your YAPVO password.
- Confirm deletion: Type DELETE and confirm once more, so it cannot happen by accident.
- YAPVO deletes the account: Deletion runs as one operation. If any part fails, nothing is deleted and your account stays exactly as it was.
- You see the result: The confirmation appears only once deletion has actually completed. YAPVO never reports success before that.
Disconnect Instagram, or delete Instagram connection data only
Disconnecting Instagram does not delete your YAPVO account. Your YAPVO account, sign-in and Drops stay exactly as they are. Use this if you only want YAPVO to stop using your Instagram Professional Account.
In YAPVO, open Instagram from your workspace and choose Disconnect. You can reconnect later.
Disconnecting removes the Instagram data YAPVO holds. It does not change anything inside your Instagram or Meta account. To remove YAPVO’s access on Meta’s side, open your Instagram or Facebook settings and remove YAPVO from the apps and websites you have authorized.
- Stored Instagram credential: The access credential YAPVO holds for your Instagram Professional Account is deleted.
- Connection reference and state: The connected account reference and its connection status are removed from your workspace.
- Scoped delivery evidence: Comment and message records tied to that connection, and their duplicate-prevention entries, are removed.
Delete selected data without deleting your YAPVO account
- Disconnect Instagram: Remove the Instagram connection and the credential YAPVO stores, and keep your YAPVO account.
